With 100 years of rich tradition and history, there is much to celebrate!
Our Centennial is set to begin in August 2023 commemorating the new academic year. Visit our events page and stay updated with all of the latest happenings. There will be plenty of events throughout the year. Our centennial year will conclude with the May 2024 commencement ceremony.

Six Franciscan Sisters set sail from France on a mission to bring health and spiritual wholeness to the sick and needy of Louisiana by establishing a school of nursing in 1923.
That school is now a University with a School of Nursing, a School of Arts and Sciences and a School of Health Professions.
As we celebrate our centennial, we remember those courageous women who came before us– who had a vision and mission to serve–and to change our community for the better.
Please join us for a year of celebration, as there is much to celebrate.
